This should be easy but my search on Microsoft.com and the net offer
conflicting answers.
Outlook 2002. Is it possible to password-protect an individual folder?
I have read I can protect a pst but there is conflicting data on whether
the data is actually protected. Ideally, I can protect only one folder.

No. You can simulate it, though, by creating a new PST, password-protecting
it, and moving the specific folder to that protected PST.

What conflict is that? You can certainly password-protect a PST and you
need to password in order to open it. However, the protection is slight
because there are freely available tools that can strip passwords from PSTs.
It's better protection to have multiple WIndows users that are
password-protected.
