Question with the screen saver option if you use CTRL-ALT-DEL won't
that allow you to shut off that option?
Have her hit Win+L (hold the Windows key and press "L"). That will
lockup the user's session just like a screen saver but it does the
lockup immediately. Since the account is still logged in, anything
running continues to run, and anything scheduled to run under that
account will run. Just be sure to disable Standby, Suspend, and
Hibernate modes. The network connection might get disabled in Standby
and Suspend mode (if she wants the network connection to remain active),
and obviously the computer isn't even powered up if it goes into
Hibernate mode.
If she has a programmable keyboard and is incapable of remembering the
Win+L key combination, have her define one of the programmable keys to
run "%windir%\system32\rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation". Does
the same thing. Then she can just hit that button. However, she should
still use a password-protected screen saver for those occasions when she
walks away thinking she will gone for just a few minutes which ends up
being hours or days later before her return.
