Password Problem, Please Help...................

Hi Guys,

I have my medical details and some important documentation in various formats located in WinZip which I have put a password on, that was a while ago and now that I need to gain access, I can't, try as I might I just cannot remember the damn password.

Is there a free program that is easy to use that would sort me out?

If so, I would really appreciate it so very very much if someone could anyone PLEASE point me in the right direction.

Many thanks guys,

Dave.

If it's that easy to crack the password, you gotta admit it can't be very
secure then, right?

If you know what some of the plaintext might be, this will be the most
effective attack. I'd recommend PKCrack, it's the simplest and reasonably
fast. Brute force can take a bit longer but is an option as well. Most of
the demo / free versions of these programs are limited so good luck.

PicoZip Recovery Tool

http://www.webattack.com/Freeware/security/fwpasswordrecovery.shtml

PicoZip Recovery Tool is an easy-to-use program that can help you
recover lost or forgotten passwords from password protected Zip
files created by compression utilities like PicoZip, WinZip, PKZip,
etc. Self-extracting Zip files are supported as well. You have a
choice of Brute Force or Dictionary based recovery methods, and can
set the maximum and minimum password length, alphabetical or
numeric, an optional starting string (useful if you remember part of
the password). PicoZip Recovery Tool includes a 650,000+ words
English dictionary and you can download additional dictionaries or
edit the existing one.
