I had to reinstall XP on another drive after a total crash
and wanted to copy my password protected files from the
old C:drive that is fully functioning, but does not have
XP on now. XP is now running from a separate drive, which
was the only way not to destroy through formatting 30 GB
of important work on the C: drive where the old, now non-
functional XP with all its files still resides.
Now my Crive only shows me the non password-protected
files, but not the password-protected ones from before the
crash. They are invisible and the folders seem empty.
I tried to setup myself with my old username and password
from before the crash, but it did not work. How can I take
the password protection off from files after an XP crash?
Thank you for your help.
