Password Policy

I have ISA server, and I made "secure the server", so the
security was changed and password had to have at least 8
charcters, etc
I want to return to the basic security policy, I tried
domain security policy, dc sec policy and local pol, but
the problem persists. when I try to change a usder
password with less then 8 chrs and no combination between
letters and digits, MAJ and min, it didn't accept the
change. Same when i change with a pwd like the old one.

Password policy for domain users is managed a the domain level. It sounds as if
you enabled the complexity requirement?? If you want to reverse it, set it to
disabled in the Domain Security Policy and not undefined. Do the same for
password length. If you have this configured at the domain level in a GPO higher
in the list than default domain GPO, you will need to configure the change in
that GPO. Reboot the domain controller after the change or try secedit
/refreshpolicy machine_policy enforce. --- Steve
