Password only access page in FP02

First Happy New Year 2 all! thanks for all the help in 04! :-)
Now just one more question Yeah right! Can I have a page on my FP 02 website
that is a password only page?
I asked the company that we lease our server from and they said no. Is this
true?
 
I do not know about them but my control panel on my web server allow
for password protecting pages. I do not know even if you are using
any fp extension or what you ISP provides, but look for another
provider.
 
Depends on what server-side technologies your host supports, it sounds like
none.
One or more of the following will be required:
FrontPage Extensions with Sub webs and unique permissions,
ASP,
..NET,
PHP,
Perl/CGI,
database (Access, MySQL, MS SQL etc.)
