Does anybody know how to set the user attribute "Password Not Required" off? This is by default stating that it isn't required and I can't find where the option is.

I found out from a script I wrote. I can't find it in the gpo, in the mmc users and computers.

On your DC, under Admin Tools, click on "Domain Security Policy"

Select:

Windows Settings\Security Settings\Account Policies\Password Policies

and change the "minimum password length" to some value other than 0.

The change will essentially make a password mandatory. If I understood
your question, this is what you want to do.

Good luck.

We have it set to 8 and run and extremely aggressive password policy. I was hoping to not have to script to fix this but it appears there is no way around it. Just being paranoid on this

Thanks for the response
