Password not accepted cannot log onto system

I restarted Windows 2000 Professional and it suddenly won't accept my password. Is there a way to create a new user or any way to get onto my system? Should I just call MS?

Microsoft won't be able to help you - they don't know your password. Log on
under the "administrator" account, then reset the password to your everyday
account.
