when i test the account settings, everything checks out until it tries to
logon to the incoming server. then it asks me for my password (which it
repeatedly rejects) until i press the cancel button and then i get the 82
error. what do you think is happening?

When you go into account settings and test your account, what happens?

Ok...I have gotten rid of that error. It was after a Groove Install
(KB910918). But now I am still stuck with no POP down of mail due to
Outlook
not accepting the password. By the way, I have reset the password 5
times
since this started with my control panel to email account, and each
time I
have been able to access the mail from the web, but not through
Outlook.
:
I first disabled the plugin and it still wouldn't work (AVG Free
Edition-up
to date). Now I have uninstalled AVG completely and it still isn't
working.
Also, new error is popping up when I open outlook for the first time:
Error in registry extension "Exchange Extensions;". The syntax or
format
of
the registry entry is incorrect. Check the registry settings and
compare
the
registry for this extension to other extensions in the registry.
Anything else you could possibly think of? I know how to get rid of
the
profile and bring everything back in, but I don't want to have to do
that.
Thanks in advance.
:
If you use a virus scanner that integrates with Outlook disable this
integration and try again.

I am using Outlook 2003 on XP Pro SP2. I keep getting this error:
Receiving reported error (0x800CCC92): "Your email server rejected
your
login. Verify your user name and password in your account
properties.
Under
Tools, click E-mail accounts. The server
responded: -ERR[SYS/PERM]
Unable
to
process From lines (envelopes), change recognition modes or check
for
corrupted mail drop.
I have accessed the account from webmail and so I know the
user/pass
are
correct. Any suggestions?
Thanks.
