password for Administrator unknown

I'm trying to open files that were given an administrator
password. Unfortunately, the person that put these
passwords on is no longer employed here. The files are
desperately needed. Is there any way to get around this?
The previous employee has been contacted and states she
doesn't remember what password was entered. HELP!

Well first you should tell what kind of password is this.
is the user-level security set up or is it just the
database password?

If u don't know, this is very simple : If access needs a
login & password this is user level security. If it
prompts only a password then it's only a database password.
