We have Windows XP and I want to know how to delete/cancel
a password on a shared file. I am a system admin. and
someone put a password on a file and they do not remember
it. I tried going into safe mode and correcting the
problem, but no luck. Can anyone help me.
Thanks in advance,
Wayne

XP does not put passwords on files.
Do you mean that a file is restricted to be used only
by an account no one recalls the password of ?
Or a passworded zip file ?
Or some third-party file-passwording software is in use?
