Password Expiry

I have one user who gets a prompt to change his password every day. He then
duly changes his password, but the next day, he gets a message telling him
that his password will expire in xx days, and then prompts him to change his
password. He is using Win2k, and connecting to AD. None of the other users
on site are experiencing this problem. There is no Group Policy in place,
and I have even tried setting his password to not expire.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem on a machine I sold. I formatted my drive and did a
clean install of Windows 2000 Pro when I sold the machine. I set up an
account with administrator right with a password. I cannot remember if I
set the password up to expire but now he gets messages that his password
will expire in XX days. We have changed his password and it was good for a
few days and now the expire warning is back. What is the solution?

Thanks

Have you checked if there is a local group policy in place?

I've been doing some searching and think I know how to fix it the next time
I have access to that machine. It sort of goes like
Start/Settings/Control_Panel/User&Password click on properties and check
password never expires... or if that does not work click Start/Help as
suggested by some MVP type.

I find it strange that an "Admin" password can be set to expire in XX days
and even if you change it, it will just reset the number of days.
