password expiring in 14 days?

When I started up Win2000 sp4 today I got a message saying my password was
going to expire in 14 days, and did I want to change it? I changed it to
the same password and went on. But I'd like to know who has set this time
limit on my Win2000 password, and how I can get rid of the time limit (or
the need for a password for that matter). Can someone help with this?

Hello jbclem,

14 days is the default setting in a domain if you not configure your own
specific setting in the default domain policy or a policy at domain level.

Control Panel/Users and Passwords/Advanced (tab)/Advanced (button). Select
Users on the left and double-click yourself from the choices on the right.
Check "Password never expires".

You need Administrator access for this.
