password expiration message lies...

Lately, I have been getting calls to the helpdesk from
users stating that their password expires before the time
alloted has been reached, for example one called and said
that the message that popped up said that he had 14 days
to renew his password, so he skips it, then the next day
he cant log in... password is exprire then i have to go
in and reset it any ideas?...

Check in the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
Value = GinaDLL REG_SZ
By default it should be empty(which defaults to msgina.dll) Also check the
time\date timezone on the client machine.
