Password doesn't work on Copy of secured database

I have a secured database located in a folder. I made a copy of the database
and put it into a different folder. I also copied the secured.msw file and
changed it to point at the new location. When I try to get into the database
I get the error message "not a valid password". What else do I need to do to
get into the copy of the database?

You don't need to do anything else. Does it still work on the original files?

Are you using a desktop shortcut, or are you using the workgroup administrator to change the default mdw.

Then I would think that you've got something incorrect on the second shortcut - it's possibly got the path to the new location of the mdw wrong (in which case it'll just use the standard system.mdw workgroup file.

Either that or you are typing the incorrect username/password.
