Passing Client-Side Digital Certificate with XMLHTTP

Does anyone know if XMLHTTP supports passing a client-side digital
certificate with a HTTP request? We switching over to client certificate
authentication to our websites and I need to pass a certificate from a smart
card.

I have everything operational from a username/password standpoint. I just
need to update the code with the required settings for the certificate.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
