Hi,

1) If you are unsure about disk geometry, physical and logical partitions
and volumes, boot sectors, the difference between active and system
partitions, and in general what you are doing, you should not be messing
with *any* partitioning software no matter how easy it is. It is very easy
to destroy a system with these powerful programs. Find a knowledgeable
friend to help you before you go any further.

2) Now, if you are totally comfortable in your knowledge of hard drive
configuration, then in order to advise you, you would need to supply more
information. What do you currently have set up for the drive? How many
primaries and extended, and what logical volumes are in each? What drives
contain the system files? Which one(s) are set as active? Where is the
bootloader? Then, you need to state your objective, what is it you want to
have when you're done? If you cannot answer these questions, refer back to
#1.

very very very helpful! thanks for the warning! =D

Sorry about the harsh warning, but too many times I've seen the results of
someone using a partitioning tool without knowledge of what they are doing.
I can walk someone through it if I know they have some knowledge of what
they are doing, but not if they are unfamiliar with drive configuration.

Holyboy, Rick isn't being obstructive he talking a lot of sense. It is true
that, if you don't know what you are doing, you are liable to cause more
problems for yourself. As he suggests, supply more information and someone
will be able to help you more fully.

I didnt mean to sound if he is shouting at me or something, is jz that it
sounds like a ''dont run over the road'' kind of warning and I wasnt angry
about it when i labelled it as warning. =D so i took his advise and stopped
meddling with that partition magic =D
