Partition Magic Rescue disks?

I have a problem. My XP Home laptop has not diskette drive. It does have a
RW CD-ROM drive to which I can write to and from which I can boot-up.

I also have Partition Magic 8. When I try to create "Rescue Disks", it tells
me I have no removable drives. Is there a way I can fool PM so it will
write to the CD? How else?

The Partition Magic 8.0 CD is bootable. Just set your laptop to boot
from CD to run the PM 8.0 program. No need for rescue disks. Now
if you need to use Drive Image to restore backups, then you'll need to
create a bootable CD with Drive Image on it and use it to extract
images. Even though the Drive Image 2002 CD is bootable, it won't
work because the CD can't be written to.

Thank you. Could not find any of that info on their website.

Isn't the PQ8 CD bootable? PQ's documentation says to boot from the CD.
Only need to create floppy rescue disks if your PC doesn't support booting
from CD.

Thanks.
