Hearing audio CDs

Is there some other way to listen to audio CDs in XP, other than by using
Windows MediaPlayer? Preferable free?

Yes. A whole bunch of different ways. Search google or download.com for an
alternative player.

Here's another choice besides Winamp - "JetAudio". Freeware and can
even play RealAudio content and video. As a matter of fact, if you
install JetAudio you can completely get rid of RealAudio and
RealPlayer. Download is around 17mb.
