Partition Help

I was recently attempting to reformat my computer. Before doing so I moved
all of my data onto a removable USB hard drive. When in the XP Setup I
accidently deleted the partition of the removable hard drive instead of my
primary hard drive that I wanted.

In short: I have a hard drive with a lot of sensitive important data on it,
but no partition to it. I have scoured the internet trying to find 3rd party
tools to aid, but they either seem sketchy and/or have a price tag that--well
quite frankly--I don't see fit just yet. Where there's a will there's a
way--is there something within XP that I can try in terms of "undeleting" my
partition?

I thank you guys in advance for your replies to this question.

There is nothing in XP that can repair a deleted partition. You'll need
specialized software, that may or may not work, or you'll have to pay a
data recovery company. Personally, I would not attempt recovery on my own.

Hands off that USB hard disk. Don't plug it in to a computer until
you're implementing one of the solutions above. Don't even turn on the
power. And start making sandwhiches 'cause you may be eating them for
some time to come.

You may have to install the hard drive in a computer to do the repair. Here
is a search for a free partition recovery program. I have not tried any of
them. You often get what you pay for.

Acronis Disk Director Suite has this function as well. I haven't used the
current version but I have had very good luck with previous versions of
Acronis products.

XP won't help you.

I have successfully used TestDisk to recover a blown-up partition.
It's free and can be found at:
