parameter values not valid?

I've discovered two problems (so far) that recently began with my Outlook.

#1 I can no longer add items to my calendar: I get the error message:
"Could not save item. Could not complete the operation. One or more
parameter values are not valid."

#2 When I try to use the "reply to all" function, I get the error message:
"Cannot complete the operation. One or more parameter values is invalid"
Eveything is okay when I use the regular "reply" button.

This just started over the past week. I had no problems previously. The
only thing I know of that I changed on the computer was that I added
Earthlink internet service to my computer. I have since removed that to see
if that might have been the problem, but it was not.

I hope someone can help. These aren't big problems, but they are certainly
annoying enough when you need these functions, as I frequently do.

Thanks in advance,
Jo

A solution that I haven't discovered before but has been reported to work in
some cases is to install Microsoft Anti-Spyware, run it, reboot and try
again.

Okay, I gave it a try. I downloaded the Microsoft "Defender" anti-Spyware,
ran it and rebooted--NO JOY!

Not sure what you mean by new profile? The Anti-Spyware I ran didn't have
any options that mentioned profiles. Just scans.

Anyhow, yes, I am getting the same two error messages.

Thankk you for your help.

An new Outlook profile. Create it via the Mail icon in Control Panel. Choose
to start Outlook with that profile.

Bill,
Sorry so slow to respond. I didn't get an email notification that you'd
replied this time!

Anyhow, I did what you suggested tonight and created a new profile, using my
same email address. It appears that I am able to do a "reply to all" as well
as use my calendar on this new profile.

I checked my other two previously created profiles, and all of them have the
problems mentioned in the original post. Only the newly created one is free
from the problems.

If it works fine in a new profile, then you did solve your problem.
There is corruption in the system files that make up your outlook
profile, just delete the old profile and create a new one.
