I keep getting this error msg when i try to send mail from Office Outlook
2003/2007. Error first appeared in Office 2003, then i installed Office
2007, since i was in the process of upgrading anyway, but still get the same
error when i try to send mail, or edit e-mail accounts. Msg is; "Could not
complete the operation. One or more parameter values are not valid." I've
re-installed twice, and run Office Diagnostic several times.

I'm having the same exact problem with my boss's computer and I've tried all
the solutions with no effect.

using vista & outlook 2007

does not fix the problem by running outlook in safe mode.
I've tried running 'scanost'

I can receive e-mail but I can not send or reply.

All of the other outlook features work.

I've had the same problem for almost a year -- Outlook is totally useless to me. I've tried creating a new data file, a new profile, I've uninstalled and reinstalled, I've run Repair, I even upgraded to 2007! I've tried all the methods suggested in MS support documents and everything I've read on the Internet. I am not running Exchange Server.

I deleted all email, tasks, notes -- even my Address Book. I've dumped everything.

Outlook is totally hosed and nothing I do works.

I did get one error that was different -- suggesting that I needed to reinstall (which I've tried several times) or that there was a Registry problem. Not much help to me.

I've very annoyed with MS -- no help from them. I've paid for the product, I want to use it!

Did you try a new profile? This error usually means something is wrong with

Why no help from them. When you purchase a product from Microsoft, you have
90 days of free support. Did you call them or write to them or initiate a
chat with them?

Outlook 2007 could not complete the operation

Hi. I had the problem start after a BSOD on my Acer 6293 with Win7 Ultimate 64 bit while Outlook was open. After the bugcheck, whenever I attempted a Send/Receive to access new email from a hosted Exchange account at my service provider, I received the message "Could not complete the operation. One or more parameters are missing".

Not even re-installing to a new folder location helped, nor using Registry Mechanic. I couldn't even make account changes when I attempted to remove the Exchange account through Outlook or the Control Panel-Mail icon.

The solution:
1. Cut my .PST file from it's original location and pasted it on to another partition.
2. Went back to the Control Panel, Mail, 'Show Profiles', then removed the existing profile, and added a new one
3. Re-defined my Exchange account and re-added the .pst data file through the same Mail icon from the Control Panel.

Voila.
Happiness. Hope this helps someone out there. Diane Poremsky has mentioned this already in this post.
