para down

I am using Word 2000 on Windows XP.

I received a document from someone and am going through
it paragraph by paragraph. I have show paragraph marks
toggled on. I am using ctrl down to scroll through the
document, but it keeps skipping paragraphs. If I replace
the paragraph mark at the end of the paragraphs it skips
it will find them, but if I search and replace all
paragraph marks it still skips them. This is really
slowing down the job I need to do on this person's files.
Anyone know how to get it to quit skipping paragraphs?

Thanks,
Jamie

Hi Jamie,

Chances are some of the content of document spent time on
a web site and/or an email program, which can have the nasty
effect of replacing the paragraph mark with its ugly cousin,
the ^013 character. If, on one of the pages where this
happens, *triple-clicking* inside a paragraph selects MORE
than the paragraph you're in, then this is definitely what
happened. To fix it, do a Find/Replace, searching for ^013
and replacing it with ^p

Hope this helps.

Mark,

Thanks! That was the problem.
