This almost got the record for the shortest-lived software I ever installed,
except it froze my machine when I tried a Google search so I had to do a
cold reboot followed by uninstalling thru the control panel.
Even then I had to invoke the task manager to end a process manually which
refused to shut down during the 'mandatory' reboot.
The main reason for the removal wasn't the original freeze (very rare with
XPP, and the first in a long time) but when I did the restart, the 5 minutes
of frenetic disk activity traced to Panda processes to the exclusion of all
else.
Zone Alarm (5) went berserk with alerts, mostly because Panda processes
wanted internet access. (and it wasn't updates!)

Don't feel sorry, after a promising start this baby flew out from the
window after a couple of hours test. It simply made Windows Xp
unstable and made it work strangely. If is a early beta, so maybe
Panda will get it work. It has a promising concept. I worked though: I
disabled my firewall and almost immediately the notification windows
started popping up telling me that RPC-exploit has been intercepted.
So it works a little like a firewall too...

Thanks for your confirmation of my opinions, Jari.

After posting I began to wonder if I'd been a little too harsh.
But if you agree it makes XP unstable, then however smart its other
features, its got a long way to go
