Windows XP Paint Problems

When I draw in paint with a blue color selected it comes out grey. I have tried changing the colour to a different blue, but it's still grey also I have flicked through all of the options in the toolbar but I can't find one to make my color normal.

what does that color blue look like in any other form. Does blue show as grey in other applications/images/etc? Are there issues with any other blue shade in your colors?

If you have an issue with every blue color displaying properly, perhaps you have an issue with your monitor.
