hi,

I am running Windows XP, SP 2, I GB Ram, 60 GB HHD (one partition).

Can some one please advise to which is best for running my computer faster: System Managed size of paging file or custom set.

for Custom set what should be the minimum I set and what should be the maximum?

Is this a case of the more the better?

Thank you,
Saleem

Hello Again Saleem,

Another day another post

Its usual to set page file size between 1.5 & 2.5 times your installed memory or at least that is what used to be recommended.

There is no way to generalize the right settings for page file size and
configuration. The best setting for you is based on both your hardware
configuration and how you use your machine. A good article that will help
you determine the best setting for you can be found at

System Managed, the computer knows more about what it needs than we do.,
