paging file

My computer tells me I have no paging file. I have tried
to increase the size of the paging file through
system/virtual memory/paging file and it promts me to
restart to kick the changes in and it does nothing. How
do I fix this?
 
Let Windows handle the paging file. Make sure you press Set before exiting.
 
pagefile problems like this have been resolved for some
people with an intel processor by installing the Intel
Application Accelerator.
