paging file/virtual memory

paging file is reading as 0 in the system - have tried
repeatedly to change as pper the microsoft instructions
to no avail - when virtual size in system is altered the
pasging file continues to read as 0

Reading as 0 where ?
Have you considered that it may not be getting used ?
How much ram in your system, and, are you using any
memory intensive apps (like Photoshop)?
