Paging file resets itself

Mark

My paging file resets itself to 20MB every time I reboot
my computer no matter what I change the initial and
maximum settings to. This causes me to get multiple
paging file error messages.

Has anyone encountered this and have a fix for
it....Thanks!

Make sure that the System account (NT Authority) has full control of the
%systemdrive% and or the drive your trying to put the pagefile on. My

AFAIK it's either that or the boot partition drive letter changed in which
case you wouldn't be able to logon.

Thanks but that doesn't appear to be the issue. Any other
suggestions?

Is the volume too full for a larger pagefile.sys? Check that and
maybe try a defrag (and even a full CHKDSK). Otherwise I think that
permissions is the most likely problem.
