I'm using Win MCE 2005 / XP Pro. This morning I booted, and got this
message:

Your system has no paging file or the paging file is too small"

???
I haven't done anything with my paging file since I started using XP
years ago. My boot-up drive is C. I have a couple of partitions on
the internal GD and a partitioned external HD. Last night I defragged
one partition on the external.

Any suggestions?

You HAVE checked that the pagefile is still there? If it is then change the
settings as per the second part of the error message.....

Open "sysdm.cpl" and goto "Advanced" tab. Click on "Settings" button in
"Performance" section. Now goto "Advanced" tab in new opened window. Click
on "Change" button. Select C: drive and select "System managed size" option
and then click on "Set" button. apply it.

Thanks to you both -- I did that. NO JOY. :-(
After I made the change, the system wanted to reboot. When it started
up, I got the same message -- that my pagefile is gone/too small.

NO, I do NOT have any files with the name "pagefile" in them.
(Shouldn't it be in the root C: directory)?

Plan B?

It';s a hidden system file - you need to enable hidden files to see it....
