Paging File error at startup XP sp2

I suddently got a message (after a computer
restart right after the welcome screen) saying that
either I did not have virtual memory or I had very amount
of virtual memory. I went to system properties, clicked
the performance tab and got a message that a page file
was created because I did not have one. I went to C drive
and for some reason there was still no page file. Later I
went back to virtual memory options and found out that
the settings are set properly - 766 megabytes min and
about 1200 maximum. I clicked apply, got a message to
restart the computer and the same thing happened again -
got the error message after the welcome screen...

I have had this exact same error about a year ago.. Came here got a lot of
input and no result... It all started after I installed Nero 6 , With no
results from here I decided to revert to a restore set point... That fixed
every thing... Now it is back.. Must be some similar software code that
corruptsthe paging file... Only this time restoring to any restore point
other tehn the most recent is not possible..

So here I am been thrui this a year ago did all the sugestions and no luck..

I been thru the threads over the last three days printed and done all the
suggestions as given to all the others who also had no luck.. I still have
had noluck..

Does any one know what to do now...

Besides dumping the PC AND GOING BACK TO READING PAPER BACK BOOKS..

Many thanks for all sugestions ...

But I need a cure..

Thanks

See the Problems section at my page www.aumha.org/win5/a/xpvm.htm. This
sounds like the one that System does not have Full Control access to the
disk
