Pages not displayed correctly

When browsing the net, i can't see web sites correctly,
their colours are not shown and links do not appear
unless highlighted, background images/colous aren't
displayed either. This problem only occured when i
updated to ie6.

Hope for a fast solution.

Go to IE tools, internet options, accessibility. Make sure all options are
turned off.

Go to IE tools, internet options, advanced. Make sure that 'show pictures'
is enabled.

Go to Control Panel, Display, Appearance. Change to a standard Windows
theme and test.
 
The problem still remains, full colours on web pages are
not displayed properly. Is there anyway i can go back to
5.5, when i tried it said that IE could not be deleted.
