"pagefile.sys" is located in the root directory of C: It's a hidden file,
you'll need to enable view hidden and system files in the
View>Toolbars>Customize menu option

Are you 100% *sure* this is what is causing the problems?

I seriously doubt that your problems are being caused by actual
corruption in the pagefile.sys file. When Windows XP boots up it
totally ignores the existing content of the pagefile and anything new
that it puts into the file automatically overwrites whatever was there
previously.

Try booting your computer into Safe Mode and then changing the
pagefile settings to "no paging file". Then reboot the computer and
reconfigure the page file. The old pagefile will be deleted on the
reboot.

See MVP Alex Nichol's article on virtual memory in Windows XP at
http://aumha.org/win5/a/xpvm.htm for further advice and information.

Good luck

ty anywayz , but this didnt work :F ...
i think that my problem is this:
"The page file has become corrupt, possibly at a bad shutdown. In the
Virtual Memory settings, set to “No page file,†then exit System Properties,
shut down the machine, and reboot. Delete PAGEFILE.SYS (on each drive, if
more than just C:), set the page file up again and reboot to bring it into
use."
but i cant find pagefile.sys

Did you enable "show hidden and system files" in Windows Explorer? (Under
Tools>Folder options>View)

Try doing a search for pagefile.sys once you've enabled the show hidden
files option.

yes i did, cant see it even then...if i type to cmd.exe "cd c:\pagefile.sys"
it says sumthing like "access deniend" (this is bad translation) so i supose
taht there is pagefile.sys but sumhow i cant see it

That command will not show you the file. CD means "change to
directory" (directory = folder) and pagefile.sys is not a folder.

Try entering:

CMD DIR C:\PAGEFILE.SYS /A /S

and see what happens. Make sure you insert the blank spaces into the
command.

Good luck
