Hi -

How do I change the location of the page file? I followed
a guide while building my computer, and it suggested
creating a seperate partition for the page file, but I
have no idea how to move it.

Thanks.

For best performance, leave the page file on the same
partition Windows XP is installed on. Moving the page
file to a different partition, on the same drive, will actually
degrade performance due to additional seek time.

While the info from Carey is quite so, if however you
do have a separate disk then moving the pagefile to that
disk can bring advantage.
The settings for this is in System Properties (r-click on
My Computer / Properties), where you navigate to the
Advance tab, Performance Settings, Advanced, Virtual
Memory, Change
