Pagefile cant be restored

I have tried ALL of the fixes at the MS site and on the
web. No matter what i do, the pagefile will not manifest
itself when the pc reboots.

None of the UI approaches, safe mode or otherwise, fix
this. Its not an Intel chipset, its an ASUS MB.

OS: XP Pro upgrade.
512meg of ram
40 gig hd

Go>start\control panel\system\advanced tab\perfomance-
settings button\advanced tab\virtual memory-change button
and see if you have it set for no pagefile. Try setting
your own start and end size. 150 and 1500 work for just
about every app. Have fun.

As I said on my post, I -did- all the usual things
including this.

One possibility that I have heard mentioned is that an installation of
NAV 2004 can have this result - but I have no confirmation, so have not
added it to the problems section at www.aumha.org/win5/a/xpvm.htm


BTW - saying you have 'tried everything' is not very helpful in
eliminating suggestions.
