page unavailable for transactions

Hello,
My browser seems to work fine until I try and do any kind
of transaction like purchasing a ticket on Orbitz. The
page not avialable error comes up. I have installed the
IE 6 service pack and it didnt help. I an using an XP
based Dell 8300.

Make sure your firewall is not blocking port 443. See

Todd, try this..

open an internet explorer window, and click Help, About Internet Explorer. Check out the cipher strength. if it isn't 128-bit, that could be causing the problem. If it's 0-bit, it means that you have some corrupted or missing files. I've had the same problem for months, but found this link today..

Everything finally works! May not be your problem, but it's worth a shot. I know how frustrating this problem was
