Page Numbering

i'm running a TOC. my page numbers are adding 5 to actual page number. for
example, my introduction is on page 3, but in the table of contents, it's
listing at page 8. i have cleared headers/footers, reinserted page numbers,
but same problem. Any idea??? thankx in advance.

The table of contents display whatever the PAGE (page number) fields in the
document display.

To set a restart number for the current section, use the Page Number Format
dialog box, which can be accessed from the Header and Footer toolbar (Word
2003) or the Header & Footer Tools Design tab of the ribbon (Word 2007). If
you want specific instructions, please tell us your version of Word.
