Is there any way to insert a word as a page number?

Example: I have a cover page that I want to, instead of having 1 for page,
I want it to say cover page.

I would like to, when I generate an Index of Terms, have the page number
show up as cover page instead of page 1.

Is there any way to possibly do this?

No, the page number field can only display the actual page number,
specified for the section, and the outline number of a built-in
heading.

If you're creating your Index of Terms as an INDEX field, then use the
"cross-reference" function in the Mark Index Entry dialog. You can either
retain the italicized "See" that is inserted by default, adding "cover
page," or delete "See" and just type in "cover page."
