Page number indicator on vertical scroll bar lost

When I click on the vertical scroll bar the page number indicator no longer
appears. Can I restore this? Many thanks
 
AFAIK, there is no setting to turn this feature on/off. As long as you are
working in a multipage doc it should be automatic. It doesn't appear in a 1
page doc.

You might try Tools>Options>View, remove the check for Vertical Scroll Bar,
thn Quit & restart Word. Go back & replace the check, restart Word & see if
that helps. The only other suggestion I can offer is to go to Help>Detect &
Repair. Perhaps that will fix it.
