I am running Windows XP on one computer and 2000 on
another. They are connected to a switch that goes to DSL
modem from Verizon. One computer is 1.3 ghz and the other
is 1.7. I have 256Mb RAM in both.
About a month ago, I noticed that the pages were loading
very slow or I would get the site not found error page.
I would try again and it would load. I have run two
different anti-virus through and used other programs such
as ad removal and registry mechanics. I have loaded the
Microsoft updates and patches.
Verizon says that the modem is working fine and that the
problem is with my computers. I am running Zone Alarm
for a fire wall. Nothing is new in the last month except
the slow loading or having to re-load several times.
I don't know what settings can cause this in IE or
Windows and am not sure if that is the problem or not.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
