How do I solve the problem of low virtual memory, namely
relocating the swap file on a different partition...I
have just clean installed my Windows XP and I am getting
this message, before I even started working...

try,Start-control panel-performance and maintenance-
adjust visual effects-then click advance tab-under
virtual memery block click change-then either click
system manage size,or customize your initial size
bigger.Then click set.

Look at the newsgroup "new users" - message "Windows
2000/XP - Information, tips, and techniques" from Jim
Eshelman. I had the same problem as you describe and
Jim's post links to an article about it - very
interesting.
 
Have a look at the usergroup "new users" -

Run a Search and in the subject option enter Virtual
memory low run the search and check out the replies in
that tread.
