Page Dropped from search engines!

This may not be the place to ask but maybe someone can direct me.

On January 08 this page was posted to my site.
http://www.timduffy.com/supermarkets/enhanced_chicken.htm
By the 12th it was in the top 3 listings in all of the top search engines.
By the 15th it is no ware on the net. I didn't submit it to any search
engines the crawlers picked it up.

Any thoughts we be appreciated.

Thank You

The best option is to contact the major search engines and ask.

I don't see anything in the html that
would cause it.

Maybe they just "chickened out"

Sorry, couldn't resist the pun.

Miraculously the page is back in the search engines using keywords (enhanced
chicken) .

I contacted Google thanks to Thomas Row maybe that helped.
Another explanation could be they just came home to roost.
Thanks to the rest for the chuckle.

When you say "all of the major search engines", what do you mean
exactly? Google has been making some major changes since last fall and
this has resulted in some temporary wild fluctuations in Google search
results (and some less than temporary as well). Yahoo until very
recently in the US was drawing their results from Google and so was also
affected. Yahoo US is now drawing from Inktomi. MSN is also making
and/or planning changes.

I tried searching "tim duffy" in Google and it's still there.....1st item on the
first page of results.

I searched (from your link below) supermarket club cards and still got a hit
onthe first page of results @ about the 9th item on the first page of 62,200
hits. ! I'd say that's pretty good.

I tried the search in Lycos and got a hit @ 3rd on the 1st page of results from
.....(doesn't give total hits).....anyway it is on the first page as you
said......

what other search engines have you put it on.

Unless you dont consider Lycos or Google among the "top" search engines - I'd say
google is the most popular.

Anyway I wonder if the rankings change day to day, depdning on what sites are
getting the most hits, visitors, most search requests etc.

Could you give me some search strings to try out - or whatever you tried where
your site is "off the chart" so to speak....what phrases or key words have you
used that cause it not to appear?

since I've just tried several and cause it listed on the first page of
results....so it's definitely there.
