Windows XP, page can't be displayed. No adware or spyware
on computer. Connects to DSL service but can't browse
with IE 6. FTP command gives no socket message so Winsock
key is not corrupt but does give an "unknown error"
message. System restore to a previously working date
didn't fix issue and the "unknown error" is still there so
what happened and what will fix problem?

Brock,
The Winsock may not be corrupt, but many Parasites do
replace legit files with their own ......

Most errors of that type are adware or Winsock related.
