Hi folks, on my fathers machine (Win XP), when you try
to connect to the net using IE 6.0 (I think) you get the
standard 'Page cannot be displayed' notice.

The machine has connected to the server.

Also when using outlook express, no emails can be sent or
recieved.

He had 'restored' to a week earlier, just before I got to
the machine. No difference.

At the same time as this problem firstoccured, he also
started to get an error message shortly after START UP,
something like 'Common client user is closing'. not
exactly sure of the wording.

I have trauled the help pages but cannot find anything
that matches these probs.

Also tried the online support but after 50 mins of having
trouble with the interface I stopped.

Hope you can help.

Thanks in advance
