I have this problem that when I go to msn.com two little pages does not get
displayed especifically are the two down below where you click " my msn,
hotmail, messenger and msn music". Also in my hotmail page there are also
some pages that cannot be displayed. I only noticed this in this two pages.

I have run sfc /scannow to check the files but the computer is not
recognizing my windows XP CD. It said, "it is the wrong CD"---My CD has not
a scratch on it.

After doing some troblueshooting adn reading in what to do. I decided to
repair it but it is still happening .
Now the strange this is this. I have two hosts file with the same name but
one has .ics I guess that is for my network. If I delete my hosts file and l
go to msn.com the everything get displayed but if I restarted then my host
file appear with 35k(size) and the two pages cannot be displayed. If I
delete the other hosts.ics then the same thing happen but only this host file
reappear somehow.

Can someone help?
I hope you understand what is happening?

You should have 1 hosts file,it should look like this:
# Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

127.0.0.1 localhost

Anything after localhost, delete.
Install Spybot Search and Destroy1.3,enable all protection.
Install Spyware Blaster,enable all protection.
I have info and links on my site.

Well..yeah I know how the hosts file is suppose to look.

I have run the Adaware before but it looks that it was not picking up
everything. Also the bazooka spyware was something that was not even in the
registry. But this Spybot did really did the job. And then my antivurus
starting picking virus. and hopefully clean everything. I have heard about
spybot but I did not know it was this good.

Thank you Madmax
