page cannot be displayed error

My Internet Explorer seems to be working fine except that
I get a "page cannot be displayed" error when I try to
access certain websites like Ebay, Overstock.com,
Dealtime.com, and Dell.com. I can access all other
websites without any trouble. I have tried everything I
could think of or find to try and these websites still
won't work. If anyone has run into this problem or knows
how I can fix it I would be very appreciative. Thanks a
lot.

It may be a HOSTS file problem.
Look also for a file named HOSTS (no extension, could be hidden) rename it
OLDHOSTS.


Rule out parasites.
