I have a Packard Bell Legend 1824 CDT. Which as of now it will not do
anything.
Some Specs are:
-Intel 100 MHz Pentium Processor
-1.6 GB of Hard disk Drive
-16 mb of RAM

When I turn the computer on the screen comes on and says
"CL-GD543x PCI VGA BIOS Version 1.23b
Copyright 1992-1995 Cirrus Logic, Inc. All Rights Reserved
Copyright 1987-1990 Quadtel Corp. All Rights Reserved.
04/24/95
_"

And it just stays on that screen. I have the master cd in the cdrom
drive and the recovery diskette in the a: drive. Please Help !! What
should i try or do ?
Thanks

reset the bios either jumper or pull the battery...side note: check the
battery to see if its good. Older PB's would not boot unless the bios
battery was good.

It is very likely that your older motherboard has finally died after all
these years. Possibly time for a newer computer.
