Package to CD vs. IExpress

What is that advantage of using the IExpress option (in XP) with that of Power Point 2003 package for CD. I have come across an article that suggests using both features but do not give the benefit for doing that

IExpress creates an EXE file, which would be handy for emailing or
downloading if you include the Viewer in the IExpress EXE. It wouldn't be
beneficial for an autorun CD, though.
