Package for CD fails?

G

Geoff Cox

Hello,

I have just had a couple of failures with Package for CD writing to a
CD-R disk and wonder what software PowerPoint 2003 uses to do the
writing.

Does it use its own software, or the Windows XP software or the Nero
Express software which I have installed on the PC?

Could it be that the fact that the Nero Express was last used to write
to a DVD and PowerPoint was trying to write to a CD have anything to
do with the failures?

I did in fact change the Nero setting to "write to a CD" and then the
Package for CD writing worked but of course that may have been
coincidental.

Cheers

Geoff

PPT uses Windows XP's CD writing capability.

I'm not sure if the change to the Nero setting would affect this or not, but
I do agree with John regardless -- when you Package for CD, choose the
option to package to a folder, then use Nero to burn the contents of the
folder to CD. (You won't burn the folder itself to the CD -- you want to
burn all the files inside the packaged folder to the CD.)
