I run PowerPoint XP. I use Pack & GO all the time when I want to upload
files to client that have audio or video linked. I was trying to talk a
client using 2003 through and he said it only had "Pack for CD" and the
functions where different. How can you use Pack & Go for PPT 2003?

Any help?

Thanks,

Justin

Package for CD and pack and go are to all intents and purposes
interchangeable. Package for CD though includes the new viewer while pack and
go includes powerpoint 97 viewer.

You can't use Pack & Go for PPT2003, though you could probably start with a
presentation created in 2003 and designed to work with older versions, open it
in PPT 2002 or earlier and use Pack and Go there, if you need it for
compatibility's sake.

The option in PPT 2003 is called Package for CD

It assembles most if not all of the files needed by the PPT and either:

- Copies them to a folder so you can later burn a CD or
- Lets you burn them directly to a CD (only if you have Windows XP ... and it's
a bit fragile. Better to go with the first option)

Either way, you have the choice of including the 2003 Viewer in a form that'll
run directly from the CD, no install to the user's PC needed. Nice feature.
